We are living in unprecedented times and with this comes the risk of the most vulnerable being left in the dark, their voices unheard. We, young people, are one of the groups who are at the top of this list. Our team reflects on Stories To Action and why we need you!
We are living in unprecedented times and with this comes the risk of the most vulnerable being left in the dark, their voices unheard. We, young people, are one of the groups who are at the top of this list. Our sexual and reproductive health and rights are at stake: in real-time we are seeing possible stockouts of contraceptives, barriers to accessing services, and the rollback of our rights to safe abortion and comprehensive sexuality education.
We as Stories To Action, realize that at this point in time, we as young people need to get loud. We want to hear from you about the impact that this crisis and the subsequent responses to it have had on your sexual and reproductive health and rights. We are here to offer you a platform to speak out and together we will bring your insights and inputs to decision-makers.
We believe that policymakers and donors can do better by involving youth and incorporating their inputs into decision-making processes which have a long-term impact on our health and rights and preventing knee-jerking responses without considering the long-term effects. Our efforts are directed toward collecting stories and data and providing these critical actors with strong recommendations.
We as Stories To Action, are here to build impactful partnerships and support wide policy and program efforts. We cannot do this alone, and it takes a movement to ensure that no story remains untold and no voice remains unheard.
We are bringing youth voices out from the dark and into the light, and we are excited for the prospects that these voices will bring! Stay with us.
Thank you,
Sanne, Iris, Adrija, Agnes, Alex and Lamek
